Brent Comstock, founder of BCom Solutions and well-known rural entrepreneurship advocate, is transforming his downtown Auburn, Nebraska headquarters into his latest entrepreneurial venture, the Rural Impact Hub. The Rural Impact Hub will serve as a partner-driven organization that brings people, organizations and companies in the community together to collaborate ways to strengthen and support rural America.
Brent Comstock of Auburn, NE started BCom Solutions, a digital company that designs and develops digital strategies for campaigns, causes, and companies. The company’s work has supported rural companies throughout the United States, as well as campaigns ranging from rural down-ballot races to federal races. As BCom Solutions continues to grow beyond Southeast Nebraska, Comstock faced the challenge of what to do with the original rural location, while not prohibiting the growth of the company. Rather than follow the conventional business route of closing the Auburn location, Comstock has developed a way to further his passion and strengthen the rural communities of southeastern Nebraska.
A space for community engagement, entrepreneurial thinking, and rural collaboration.
Comstock explained, “Our vision for the Rural Impact Hub is deeply rooted in using our company’s success as a vehicle for strong involvement and impact in the community. The Rural Impact Hub will be a blend of community engagement, entrepreneurial thinking, and a place for community organizations to collaborate together for the betterment of this area — and rural America. I’m excited that our company is able to continue to both grow BCom Solutions on a larger level while staying involved and connected to our passion for rural America.” BCom Solutions will continue to maintain a presence in the Auburn, Nebraska location, with flexible hours based on staffing schedules in other offices.
A rural partner-driven movement.
Community partners will participate in a monthly speaker series, monthly-workshop, bi-weekly mentorship hours, advertisement and event space. One of the first partners of the program is Peru State College. Peru State College President Dr. Dan Hanson spoke on the benefit of joining the Rural Impact Hub, “Peru State College is committed to working with the southeast Nebraska community to build a strong future for the region. The Rural Impact Hub will provide ways to collaborate and learn together and will give our students a chance to be involved in this process.”
